Feb 14, 2005 - Brisbane City and In Search Of The Surf-Mobile

Feb. 14th- After a blow out first night, and a little Brisbane sightseeing the next day, it was time to get down to business (finding a good surf mobile to travel and crash in from time to time).

After seeing some cool sights around Brisbane with Marnie, we all set out to find “THE surf-mobile”. Got lucky after seeing our 3rd van and quickly decided to make an offer of $3,200 Australian down from $4,000…….done deal! In the process of getting it registered, Eddie has the first major mishap of the journey and managed to drop his $3000 camera, shattering the lense. Was a $600 mishap, but got it replaced and we are back in business as you can see from the photos! Spent a relaxing evening celebrating Marnie’s mom’s 59th birthday and were successful in picking up some blond aussie twins!! (see pictures).
