Headed Up The SunShine Coast - Queensland - Feb 15, 2005

Well, the time has come to hit the surf! We packed up the van with a few things and headed up to the Sunshine coast. Marnie’s brother has a place across from the beach there that we were offered to stay at for a few days. The Aussie hospitality continues.......

As far as the surf, the swell was pretty small but it was great to finally get into the water (with No Wetsuit!). We made it up as far North to a town called Noosa Heads which has a handful of right hand point breaks. The place has incredible potential for some long peeling waves and the town is pretty laid back. We will head back South this weekend to Stradbrooke Island which is just off the coast of Brisbane. The place is known for uncrowded waves and lots of sharks. Reality has finally hit the both of us that we are “Living the Dream!”
