March 03, 2005 - Avoca Beach

After hanging out in Byron Bay a few days, we got on the road south toward Sydney. We were fortunate enough to connect with one of the first cool people Tony met on his travels in Nepal. Tony met Michael on the way to Nepal and hung out with him in Kathmandu back in November, and then saw him again in Phi Phi Island just before the horrific tsunami destroyed the island....Michael was on Phi Phi island and survived the whole ordeal, so it was great to see him and meet his family.

Below are a few photos hanging out with Michael and his family at their home in North Avoca Beach, 90 minutes north of Sydney.
