We finally left Sydney and started our journey south towards Melbourne. We took a few days and surfed many breaks along the coast. As you will see in the pics below, there are so many great breaks in this country. Some of the spots we surfed the past few days were pretty good. The swell wasn't that big, but we did manage to surf some chest to head high waves. The day before we got to Melbourne, we surfed 3 times that day. After getting out of the water at 7:30pm, we decided to drive all night (about 8hrs) to get to Melbourne the next day. Eddie has two friends (Gina & Sara) that he met 12 years ago in South America traveling who live in Melbourne. We ended up taking a quick detour in the middle of the night hoping to catch an early am surf at Phillip Island. Pulled into Phillip Island at about 4am and crashed in the van for a few hours. Unfortunately, when we woke up it was blown out, freezing cold, and no surf! So off to Gina's house in Melbourne it was.......................
