May 28, 2005 – Our New Ride In New Zealand

Well, I think the paint job says it all! It’s a 1985 Toyota van with only 315.000 Km. We picked it up for $1550.00 USD and it doesn’t drive like a Cadillac (or a Porsche). It also has no heater, radio, defroster, etc. So it’s going to take a little work to make it fit our needs. Today I ended up gutting it out and then ran the water hose through it. It definitely needed a washing out! The floor is completely rusted and the key only works in the ignition and drivers door. If want to open any other door, then you basically have to climb through the car. Tomorrow I will try to figure out some tunes as well as make a bed. I think we may need to put out a call to MTV Pimp My Ride or maybe Dump My Ride! Will the journey continue is this Van???
