May 31st, 2005 - Wainui Orchards, New Zealand
As I mentioned yesterday, we are currently staying at the Wainui Orchard. My friend Pete Philips has a sister named Kathy who moved out to New Zealand with her family (husband-Mat; son-Brian; daughter-Hannah). They ended up buying an Orchard and are now growing Citrus, Bananas, and Veggies. Matt took us on a tour of the grounds today and gave us a lesson in growing. They are currently growing all of there fruits & veggies organically. Below are some pics of their 11 acres.
