June 1st, 2005 - Shipwreck Bay, New Zealand

Shipwreck Bay is about 5 minutes from our friends Orchard. It can also be a classic wave although today it was at its worst! Matt drove us pretty far down the beach and gave us a tour of the various surf spots. On our way down, we came across a crazy Australian that had got stuck in the sand. He was pretty far down the beach in soft sand which is not what we would recommend to do in a 2wd car. We ended up towing him out of the sand with Matts 4wd. Enjoy the pics...
