June 27, 2005 - Still Getting Good Surf In Raglan, New Zealand

Well, believe it or not, I am still in Raglan. Just a few more days until I leave to Fiji. So pretty much just going to ride the surf out here! It was another cold night in Flipper! I was sleeping in Flipper parked near the surf break, and then at about 7am today someone was pounding on the windows yelling. I had all of the curtains closed but I already new who it was. It was the City Council guy telling me that I couldn't camp here! I must say that they have caught me several times in the past few months in different locations. Every time he yells at me, I just tell him that I arrived a few hours ago in the dark and was waiting for sun light so that I can surf. I must say that it's pretty funny when I think about it. It's does scare the crap out of me every time when I am in a deep sleep and someone starts pounding on the windows.

On another note, it was “again” another great day of cold surf. Surfed Whale Bay in the morning with Jeremy then had another session later in the day at Indicators. I still can't believe how good this wave is! Well, the pictures say it all! I am off to dinner at Jeremy & Sidney's house. The journey continues.....
