June 30, 2005 - Sea Shell Cove Resort, Fiji

Today was my first full day in Fiji. Ended up taking a boat out to surf Mini Cloud Breaks which is about 3 miles offshore. We pretty much pulled up to some small blown out surf, but everyone jumped in anyway just to get wet. I am still not to sure about this place as far as surf is concerned. Everything seems to be a big hassle here. You can never get a straight story out of anyone. They all seem to operate on Fiji time!

Below are just a few pics from today at my hotel. We did have some crab races at night in which I (Eddie) took 2nd Place! You basically buy a crab for $2.00 and it gets put in the center of a circle. The first crab out of the circle wins. I ended up getting a $20.00 bar tab for taking 2nd place. That’s about it for today, hopefully get some surf tomorrow!
