Eddie here, the time has come to pack it up and head to Bali tomorrow. It’s been an interesting 5 days in Bangkok. My main purpose here was to get my visa squared away for my extended stay in Indonesia.
Well, I must say that Bangkok is the city that never sleeps and is full of all walks of life. You can do or get just about anything that you can possibly think of here! I pretty much just chilled out at my hotel roof top pool the past few days because it was so hot and humid. Just couldn’t be bothered to do anymore sightseeing. I did manage to sit and people watch as I had a few beers at the local sidewalk café.
During my stay in Bangkok I did manage to make a handful of new friends. This is one of the great things about traveling! I have also realized that it is a very small world. One of the guys I met named Blackie turned out to be a face from the past. He was working security at the Wharf Bar in Australia and kept telling me to take my hat off! I remembered the face, but finally realized from where once he told me where he worked and what he did. Blackie was really nice this time and let me wear my hat, ha ha… I also met Eva from Sweden, Craig & Val from England, and Bertie & Victoria from England but living in India. Craig and Val will be in California late August so I will be hooking them up with some of my friends from home. Beware! We all ended up hitting the local Club my last night as well as Eva’s last night in Bangkok! Below are just a few pics from the last day. The journey continues….
