Tony's Trip To Nias - Sumatra, Indonesia

The pics below are from Tony's recent trip to Nias. He ended going with another guy named Sean (from Hawaii) who we both met in Bali. They scored great waves and the crowd factor was none! When I saw the pics and video clips I really wished I would have made my way there at some point. Tony ended staying in Nias for about three weeks. He paid a local kid named Julius $2.50 US per day to shoot video with his camera. As far as the pics below, the camera they had was not the greatest so some of the pics are not that clear. Anyway, it should at least still give you a good idea of what Nias is like. Oh ya, for those of you who are not familiar with Nias, it is a long peeling and barreling right hand wave. This part of Sumatra was also one of the places that was hit pretty hard by the Tsunami last December.

As far as Tony, he just left Indonesia today after spending two months here and his on his way back to Australia. He'll be spending the next two months in Sydney with Alex (who we both met together back in April). After that, he goes to Western Australia for a month then off to South Africa. Well, that's about it for now..... Got to run......
