September 10, 2006 – Surfing Lots, Bali
Well, it’s time for another update here! Just been pretty much chilling at the Tree House lately and surfing lots. Bingin has been super fun and as always full of barrels. See photos below. I did go with my buddy Tim and his dog Susu to Medewi for a few days. I have also been very focused lately on doing Surf Photography and have made some good cash the past few days selling photos. Chocky, the guy who owns the Tree House has also been using my camera to shoot surf photos while I am out surfing. Been giving him a percentage $$$ from the photos we sell. Together we make a good team. While I am out in the water I tell most of the surfers that Chocky is taking photos and to stop by later and check them out. So far, so good….
On another note, just need to paint a picture of where I am at the moment physically and mentally! Chocky is down stairs in the restaurant shooting surf pics and I am up in the Tree House working on my laptop. My table is set up in front of my open air window so as I am typing I have a beautiful view of the ocean as well as the Bingin wave. I’m playing some really chill music and very much appreciating my lifestyle at the moment as well as my priceless view. For the past three hours I have been sitting here going through all of my photos from the past year. Needed to clear some space on my laptop as my hard drive is getting full. I am having serious trip down memory lane as I look back at old photos. So many good life experiences and memories that no can ever take away! Met so many people that touched me as well as a few that I could care less to ever see again! It’s pretty hard at the moment to ever imagine going back to my previous lifestyle. It seems like most people live their life in reverse. We work our asses off our whole lives and then one day you retire at age 60, then what??? By the time we’re 60 yrs old we can’t do half of the things that we could do in our younger years! As all always tell myself, “life is short” so live it up. I saw a guy yesterday on his motorbike get taken out by a car right in front of me. Fortunately, he was able to walk away but pretty messed up. Just another reminder that “life is short”.
Ok, need to go as a French guy just walked in who wants to buys some photos. The journey continues….
