Below is a mix of pics from the second half of our trip in the Mentawais Islands. I was kind of lazy about organizing my updates by surf spots this year. Truthfully, this webpage is a lot of work at times. So I have just bunched together lots of pics from the second half of the trip.

All in all, it was a great trip. The waves were good, but definitely not as good as last years trip or as good as it can be. I guess I say this because I know better plus I have been very spoiled in regards to quality surf the past two years…. Anyway, everyone was pretty stoked. We surfed many spots alone which was great. I will say that I really slacked on taking photos like I normally do. I guess I have also become very picky about the photos I take. For one, the winds were often NOT in our favor so the waves had a little chop on them at times, but still fun. Just not picture perfect! There have also been lots of fires burning so the sky was kind of hazy, which is not good for photos. So that’s the reason for the lack of wave photos.

So what else can I say about the trip???? Well, like I said earlier, I am burned out on doing this webpage so just look at the pics below. I will add a few awards: Sal gets “The Brazo” award. If you surf, then you’ll understand the award; Rob gets the award for “Most Beers Consumed”; Steve gets the award for “Most Sleep/Naps”. He had some very expensive naps; Martin gets an award for “Catching the Biggest Fish”. Actually, that’s a joke because he got tricked into pulling in some seaweed thinking it was a fish. Ha, ha Martin; Can’t really think of an award for Tim??? Probably most hours in the water, but NOT a Brazo like Sal; Matt gets the award for “Most Poundings”. Saw Matt get worked a handful of times by the surf. I think that covers everyone. Ok, I’m over typing so just check out the pics below.
