Feb 7th, 2006 – Surprise Stop In Paris

It’s been a hell of a two days... Planes, trains, buses, and metro’s..... F”ing A..... I was up for 36 hours straight without a wink of sleep. Was leaving California to Ohio, then London, then Morocco. Ohio flight got canceled so I got f’d! Next flight wouldn’t be available for 4 days. So got routed to Paris with an overnight stay at my expense of course. You can just imagine lugging all of my stuff in Paris (surfboards, Camera Gear, and two bags). Anyway, in the end it all worked out and I saw my cousin that I hadn’t seen in 13 years who is French. She and her family live about two hours out of Paris in a town called Rouen. After sorting myself out in Paris, I was able to get a hold of them by phone. So I basically rallied and caught a handful of Metro’s and trains to finally make it to Rouen by 8pm. Ended up going out for a dinner with my cousin Silvia, her husband Laurent, and son Maxence. Stayed the night in Rouen and the next day they drove me back to Paris to catch my flight. It was a short stop, but really good to see my cousin after 13 years. I just took a handful of photos in France since I didn't get around much. A few road shots from the drive to Paris from Rouen. Excited to get to Morocco for some surf….. The journey continues.................
