August 1st, 2007 – Surfing T-Land, Nembrala, Rote

Finally some surf pics to post! The surf has been consistently good here every day. Some days bigger, some days smaller, but always good! We had a pretty big swell hit today, which you will see in some of the pics below. There are some shots of the wave in the distance where I am about æ mile away. So that should give you an idea of how big it was. Only picked off a handful of waves today because you had to be very selective of what you dropped in on, and where you positioned yourself. Every so often there would be a serious clean up set that you didn’t want to get caught by! I took a few on the head today then called it a day. This wave seems to be the best at about 3-5 ft in my opinion, but it does hold any size swell. There are also a few shots I took earlier this week when I walked out on the reef. It was at sunset, so it wasn’t the best lighting. I really need to shoot from a boat to get the best pics.

Oh ya, for the surfers at home, keep this place a secrete! We don’t want it to end up like Bali or some of the other over crowded spots in the world! The journey continues…..
